Our Story

First Date

Picture of First Date

Emma and I's first date was to an OKC Thunder game. We ate at Fuzzy's on the way, and then saw the Thunder take down the Celtics in a great game.

From the moment Em got into the car, there was something I could tell was special about her. It did not take long at all for us to connect, and just have a great time.

On our second date, just a week later (no pictures included), maybe the best story of our journey happened. We ended up getting pulled over by the cops, and I was issued two tickets (I know, bad thing to happen on the second date). Emma ended up having to drive us home too, which makes for a pretty great story. But here we are a year and a half later, and she is still with me, so I guess you could say she forgave me!

"I Love You"

Ok I'll talk on this one;) Clayton and I's first time telling each other "I love you" was March 4, 2023. Clayton truly meant it when he told me those words. Although when I told him those words my heart and my mind weren't really all there (if that makes sense). It wasn't until after summer 2023 that I truly meant the words "I love you". We spent a whole summer distant from one another. The text messages, late night calls, and notes he left me while he was in San Antonio made my heart and my mind realize I truly did (and do of course) love him. Three strong words require a strong heart behind them. I'm excited to see how our love for one another grows in the years to come!

Engagement Season

Clayton again:

On March 31st, we were supposedly going to help my friend, Jaxon Smith, propose, but instead, when Emma showed up to St. Gregory's, she was met with me down on one knee.

I think I surprised her;)

We then headed over to my aunts house for an engagement party with family, which was super fun and just a great time together.

Engagement season has been so fun, planning a wedding and just being able to think about our future together. If you are reading this, and have found your way onto our wedding page, then more likely than not you have played some role in our life, and for that we are so grateful. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
